Patapaa, the Swedru-based young Ghanaian artiste behind the recently hit ‘One Corner’ song has said he has not made a diem from the song. According to him, the song is enjoying massive airplay and it’s all over on the streets yet he cannot boast of even GH¢1000 in his pocket. Speaking in an interview with Kasapa FM in Accra, the young artiste revealed that the ‘One Corner’ song has changed his social status but his bank account is empty.
The artiste insisted that though he is enjoying little popularity on the streets, he is financially broke to the core. Patapaa added that he is living a life of a pauper but will not be discouraged in working hard to achieve his dreams.
“I’m really content with how far my song has traveled but I can sincerely say that I can’t boast of GH¢1000 in my pocket from this hard work,” the artiste said. The ‘One Corner’ song upon its released by Patapaa undoubtedly became instant hit on the streets with massive airplay.
The song which is accompanied by a crazy dance has become a trend on various social media platforms with some Ghanaians including celebrities jumping onto it. The ‘One Corner’ dance requires one to secludes his/herself in a corner and perform a sexually suggestive dance moves which has got many critics talking.
